Joanna is a visiting research fellow in Peng Yin's lab at the Wyss Institute. Her work deals with the development of programmable molecular systems. She received her bachelor's degree in physics from the California Institute of Technology. While there, she worked in Rob Phillips's lab on a project involving repression in E. coli. She is interested in biophysics, specifically DNA nanostructures, self-assembly, and cellular signalling. Besides experimental research, she spends her time playing violin or writing about science here.
