Xi had been a visiting fellow of the Yin Lab since Jan. 2011, and joined the lab as a full time postdoctoral fellow in Sep. 2012. He obtained his B.S. degree at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and got his PhD training at University of Texas at Austin under Dr. Andrew D. Ellington. He is interested in a variety of applications of dynamic DNA nanotechnology (or DNA circuitry), from molecular diagnostics to smart drugs, to synthetic biology.
